All Out for Palestine: Ceasefire Now!

Writer: IWW IrelandIWW Ireland

A spokesperson for the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) today issued a statement condemning the latest nights of Israel's bombing of Gaza. It comes as activists took part in actions in solidarity with Palestine throughout Ireland, including a sit-down protest in central Belfast which brought traffic to a standstill.

"The Zionist terror regime of Israel has again without due care for humanity or the population of Gaza and with no regard for international law broken a formally agreed ceasefire, again carrying out widespread bombing throughout Gaza, slaughtering hundreds of innocent people.

"Prior to this decision, this same fascist regime had again completely blockaded the area of Gaza, cutting off food supplies, medical aid, fuel and water to its population, reigniting its terror policy of depopulation by conducting ethnic cleansing and collective punishment upon innocent Palestinan communities in Gaza and the West Bank.

"We urge fellow workers to contuine to participate in solidarity actions on the streets, as it is there that we as workers can help draw attention to this nightmare and help bring an end to this deliberate policy of genocide upon Palestinian workers. The continuing silence from the political establishment as well as their system of power, makes them fully complicit in these war crimes and they must be brought to justice.

"Once again, we call for an immediate end to this genocide and an end to the occupation. We must never stop talking about Palestine, at home, at work or on the streets. Each of us must never forget that an injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
