Cuireann Oibrithe Tionsclaíocha an Domhain ár dtacaíocht agus ár ndlúthpháirtíocht le hoibrithe na Gaeilge atá páirteach i stailce inniu.
Dúirt urlabhraí don Chraobh na hÉireann de chuid IWW, "Cuireann Oibrithe Tionsclaíocha an Domhain ár ndlúthpháirtíocht leis na hoibrithe Gaeilge ar fad atá ag dul ar stailc in aghaidh ciorruithe ar mhaoiniú laistigh d’earnáil na Gaeilge. Cuireann muid ár nglór leis an nglao ó oibrithe sa stailc leathlae inniu chun na ciorruithe ar fad a aisiompú.
"Tá pá, coinníollacha agus cinnteacht fostaíochta níos fearr tuillte ag gach oibrí san earnáil seo.
"Is cuma cá bhfuil oibrithe ag eagrú agus ag seasamh suas ar a son agus a gcearta ag an obair, tá ár dtacaíocht agus ár ndlúthpháirtíocht ar fad tuillte acu.
"Tá sé seo i ndiaidh na haisghairme a rinneadh le déanaí ar dhlí 300 bliain d’aois a rinne coiriúlacht go bunúsach ar úsáid na Gaeilge i gcúirt nó i suíomh dlíthiúil. Gan dabht, is beart suntasach siombalach é aisghairm dlí dá leithéid a bhfáiltíonn muid roimhe mar cheardchumann."
English:
The Industrial Workers of the World extend our support and solidarity with Irish language workers taking part in strike action today.
A spokesperson person for the IWW Ireland Branch said, "The IWW extend our solidarity with all Irish language workers taking strike action against cuts to funding within the Irish language sector. We echo the call from workers in today's half-day strike action to reverse all cuts. All workers deserve better pay, conditions and better job security within this sector.
"Wherever workers are organising and standing up for their jobs and rights at work, they deserve all our support and solidarity.
"This follows the recent repeal in a 300 year old law which effectively criminalised the use of the Irish language in a court or legal setting. The repeal of such a law is, without doubt, a significant and symbolic move that we as a union welcome."
