Last Saturday (3rd October 2020) IWW members stood in solidarity with over 250 republicans, socialists, communists, anarchists, LGBT activists and leftists of all stripes against the growing threat of violence from the far right.
Showing great discipline this alliance of anti-fascists took position in front of the GPO. The
crowd quickly formed a wall around the building's columns determined to reclaim an icon of
Ireland's struggle for freedom and prevent use of the space by the far right.
Despite online threats of violence from fascists the day passed incident free. The far right
failed to mobilise any opposition to the event, proving their cowardice when confronted with
a united crowd ready to defend itself.
The IWW is proud to stand with such a diverse group of activists and community members
against the threat posed by fascism and the far right.
An injury to one is an injury to all.
No pasarán!
