The Industrial Workers of the World Dublin group, were in attendance at the National March for Palestine. Thousands of people took to the streets in Dublin and across the island to call for a ceasefire and immediate end to the genocide Israel is committing in Gaza.
We support this call, but we must also acknowledge that there can be no true peace as long as the Israeli state exists. A genocidal apartheid state founded upon the displacement and disenfranchisement of a people can never bring peace. Even when not committing outright genocide Israel uses violence every day in order to enforce its authority over the people of Palestine.
Palestine unfree shall never be at peace.
