National demonstration took place through Dublin city centre earlier today in solidarity with the people of Palestine. Trade union and community activists demanded an immediate end to the genocide and occupation of Palestine.
During today's demonstration a spokesperson said that "The Industrial Workers of the World continue answer the call to support the workers of Palestine facing daily atrocities directed by the Zionist terror regime.
"In demanding an immediate end to the genocide we call upon the labour movement, at home and abroad, for greater solidarity with the international Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign by actively promoting boycotts, divestments, and economic sanctions against Israel regime.
"The world witnessed then, that as part of the international strategy against the racist apartheid regime in South Africa, the boycott campaign proved instrumental in dismantling that regime. This needs to continue today more than ever, with the full support of the labour movement and anyone who shares the values of human rights or social justice.
"We need to call out those who remain silent and continue to demand an end to the occupation of Palestine. The workers of Palestine alone, must be allowed to direct their own destiny, free from the grasp of western imperialism or their global arms trade."
