The Industrial Workers of the World stand in full solidarity with the Belfast Multi-cultural Association and all vulnerable groups that have been targeted in this latest racist attack on the Donegall Pass.
The BMCA works tirelessly to support Belfast’s Muslim and migrant populations as well as building bridges between communities. That they have been targeted for a second time is nothing short of evil. Fifteen months ago racists burnt out the BMCA from their premises on the Donegall Pass in South Belfast. After massive public outcry nearly £72,000 was raised to assist the BMCA in their efforts to rebuild. Work was completed on the roof on Wednesday.
The streets surrounding the BMCA building are plastered in the most vile, fascist propaganda and the real world consequences of this are being felt again today. The IWW and all anti-fascists in Belfast must stand together against the increasingly violent actions of fascists and racists in our city.
An Injury to One is an Injury to All.
